This hero sandwich is eaten at all times of the day, including breakfast. Bolillo is the name of the Mexican-style roll (it is diamond-shaped like a Portuguese roll), which is moistened with hot refried beans and creamy avocado. The dressings or accompaniments are pretty standard for all tortas: lettuce, pickled jalapeño, beans, avocado, and mayonnaise. The meat varies from one to the next, but pork is most common because it’s always available in the Latin kitchen. Use the pounded po
