Empanadas are most often thought of as little meat pies in traditional Argentinean cuisine. But guava and cheese empanadas are the snack of choice enjoyed alongside Cuban coffee in the Calle Ocho district. These turnovers can be baked (al homo) or fried (fritas) and stuffed with most any sweet or savory filling–making them perfect for leftovers.
