Like a traditional cottage garden, this is a glorious and colourful mixture of flowers and aromatic leaves spiked with powdered spices. Use the recipe simply as a guide and blend the ingredients to your own taste-just as no two cottage gardens are alike, each version of this delightful pot-pourri is subtly different.
Reserve a few of the whole dried flowers to decorate the pot-pourri later. Gently mix together all the remaining ingredients, taking care not to crush the petals and blooms. Cover the bowl with a plastic bag and leave in a warm dark place for 2 weeks. Spoon or tip the pot-pourri into one or several bowls and decorate with the reserved flowers.
