  • 1 garlic clove, crushed
  • 1 medium red onion, very finely chopped
  • 3 tomatoes, very finely chopped

Method

First make the salsa: mix together the garlic, onion and tomatoes (a food processor is good for this), then stir in the coriander (cilantro), chilli powder, ground cumin and lime juice.

Thickly spread the mashed avocado over the crostini bases and top each with a spoonful of spicy salsa.
