Who doesn’t love garlic bread? It makes a hot and welcome accompaniment to many dishes, adding that final welcoming touch – especially when it’s homemade, like this, and served hot from the oven. You can also prepare it in advance, wrap in foil and keep in the freezer to bake when you need it. Sizes of French sticks vary – I like a moderately slim one, but any will work.
