Ingredients

  • cups lightly packed fresh mint leaves
  • ½ cup lightly packed fresh cilantro leaves
  • ½ teaspoon ground cumin, lightly toasted
  • ½ teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon finely chopped jalapeño or serrano chile, or to taste
  • ¼ cup fresh lime juice
  • cup plain yogurt
  • Homemade vegetable or chicken stock or your favorite canned broth
  • Salt and freshly ground pepper

Method

Combine the Mint, cilantro, cumin, sugar, chile, lime juice, and yogurt in a blender or food processor and process until smooth, adding a bit of stock or water to help, if needed. Taste and season with salt and pepper. Can be made up to 2 hours ahead and refrigerated.
