  1. 3 tablespoons natural peanut butter
  2. 1 teaspoon Asian chili-garlic sauce
  3. 3 tablespoons homemade chicken or vegetable stock or your favorite canned broth, or water
  4. cup stirred coconut milk
  5. 2 teaspoons packed light or dark brown sugar
  6. 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  7. 1 to 2 tablespoons soy sauce, or to taste


Combine all the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. The sauce should have the consistency of heavy cream. Store covered in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. Return to room temperature before using.
