  • ½ tsp lovage seed
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • generous freshly ground black pepper

Method

Roast and grind the two spices, add the pepper and combine with the herbs. You will need a mortar at this stage to make a paste of the pine kernels. A food processor will not necessarily be able to produce a smooth enough paste. Grind the pine kernels into a smooth paste with the spices and herbs and then add the honey and the other liquids. Beat to combine well and turn into a dish. Serve with
