Method

Chop the beef, chicken and egg yolk, and mix with the remaining ingredients.

Use two-thirds of the pastry to make 4 pie cases some 2½ins/6cm diameter by 1½ inches/4cm high. Pack with the mixture. Use the remaining pastry to make the lids, moistening the edges and pinching them into place. Cut a hole in the centre of each lid.
