Combine rice, milk, sugar and salt in a saucepan, cook slowly until rice is soft and creamy, about 40-50 minutes. Stir occasionally. Blend in butter and vanilla essence. Soften gelatine in water and stir into the hot rice mixture to dissolve. Cool, but do not let it become firm. Fold in whipped cream and turn into a wet 2-pint fancy mould. Chill until well set. Marinade peaches and strawberries
