A creamy and aromatic—saffron and cardamom—apple dessert.
THE APPLES: Peel, core and dice. Put in a kadhai, add sugar and stew over medium heat, stirring constantly—but gently (to prevent the apples from getting mashed)-until the sugar has dissolved and the liquid has evaporated. Remove and cool.
THE SAFFRON: Dissolve in warm milk.
