  • 1 kg/ lb Red Carrots (medium size)

Method

Preparation

THE CARROTS: Peel, wash and cut into 1½-inch pieces. Prick the pieces with a fork.

THE SYRUP: Boil water (approx 1 litre/4 cups) in a handi, add sugar and acetic acid, bring to a boil and remove the scum.
