These look good when cut with a star-shaped cookie cutter, or use any cutter you like (I like one in the shape of a small hand). This is an old recipe, very fragrant, with pepper and vinegar for deep flavor (note that the dough has to be prepared a day in advance). It’s an easy dough to roll out, and the cookies become even more fragrant as they keep.
