  • 8 thin rashers of streaky bacon, rind removed
  • 8 large young vine leaves (optional)

Method

Squabs are not always available in England, but may sometimes be ordered. They are best of all wrapped each in a thin rasher of streaky bacon, and outside that a large young vine leaf, tied in place with thread.
