Anchovies on Toast

Ingredients

  • 1 tin anchovy fillets
  • 1 oz. (30 g.) anchovy butter
  • 4 strips of toast, 1 × 3 in. (2 × 6 cm.)

Method

Make the toast and spread with the anchovy butter. Lay 3 anchovy fillets longways down each strip. All this may be done in advance. Just before serving, place for 3 minutes under a medium hot grill.
