• ½ lb. (240 g.) icing sugar
• 1 tablespoon water

Sieve the icing sugar into a bowl, stir in the lemon juice, then add the water a few drops at a time until the mixture is just thick enough to coat the back of the spoon. Lastly, add any colouring, and beat well.
