If you’re cooking fresh peas, they only need to be boiled for a minute or two before being drained and tossed with butter. If you’re reheating frozen peas, don’t follow the instructions on the package and boil them (they’ve already been boiled at the factory), but instead thaw them in a little water heated in a saucepan over high heat until they’re heated through, toss with butter, and serve.
