  • About

Homemade coleslaw is about 110 percent better than any premade stuff that is mass produced at a factory somewhere. I love fresh coleslaw with burgers, sandwiches, or at barbecues. This recipe is basic and simple enough to prepare any time.

Ingredients

  • 1 large (3½-pound) head white cabbage, cored and thinly sliced
  • ½ Vidalia onion, thinly slic

Method

In a large mixing bowl, combine the cabbage, onion, carrots, mayonnaise, vinegar, sugar, salt, and pepper and mix gently until all the cabbage is covered with a thin coating of dressing. Let the slaw marinate in the refrigerator for 30 minutes before serving.
