My kids called her Grandma and I called her Mrs. King. She was my mother-in-law, but she always made me feel like I was part of her family. This is my mother-in-law’s quintessential recipe. It’s the kind of bread you have with coffee or tea in the morning or as a snack during the day. Everybody knew and loved Grandma’s Irish Soda Bread. She would make it around the holidays, for St. Patrick’s Day, or for birthdays. Now you’re lucky enough to have the recipe. Cherish it!
