This chocolate version of a nut ball cookie is as rich and satisfying as a chocolate truffle. Hazelnuts pair perfectly with the chocolate, but pecans or walnuts would be excellent choices as well. If the two different quantities of nuts listed in the ingredients seem confusing, the chopped toasted nuts—the first—are incorporated into the cookie dough, and the ground, untoasted ones are to roll the cookies in before you bake.
