Although these fragile cookies are traditionally rolled into a cone shape, they may also be left flat. They are often served with sweetened whipped cream or ice cream.

To make these you need a krumkake iron (see Sources)—or other type of wafer iron. Unfortunately, the wafers made by pizzelle irons are too thick.
