Being Scottish I love a bit of shortbread and Suzue being Japanese loves matcha (green tea powder), so it felt natural to combine the two.

Ingredients

  • 185 g ( oz/ cups) plain (all-purpose) flour, sifted

Method

1 Preheat the oven to 160°C (325°F/ Gas 3). Put all the ingredients, except the tempered chocolate, into a bowl and mix until the ingredients come together in a dough.

2 Remove from the bowl. Roll the dough to 5mm (¾ inch) thick on a lightly floured surface. Cut into 4cm (1½ in
