Method

Slice the vegetables thinly and make a bed of half the vegetables and garlic, herbs and spices in the bottom of a suitable dish. Put the meat on top and cover it with the rest of the vegetables, etc. Moisten it with red or white wine (depending on the recipe), vinegar and oil.
