  • 12 peeled cloves garlic
  • 70 g ( oz) button mushrooms

Method

  1. Bring the garlic to the boil three times in unsalted water, using fresh water each time-to weaken the strong flavour and remove any bitterness.
  2. Mix the milk powder and water in the saucepan with a whisk. Add the garlic, mushrooms, parsley, salt, pepper and nutmeg.
  3. Cook over a gentle heat for twenty minutes.
