Sugar-Roast Turnips

• 450 g/ 1 lb small white turnips, peeled and into neat batons
• about 7.5

Preheat the oven to 220°C/425°F/ gas 7.

Brush the turnip batons with olive oil, sprinkle with the sugar, season with salt and pepper and roast for 45 minutes
