Method

Sift the plain flour into a bowl with the baking powder and the salt, then stir in the sugar Beat together the egg yolks, milk and butter in a separate bowl, then add this mixture to the dry ingredients and mix well. Whisk the egg whites until they are stiff and fold them into the waffle mixture. This waffle batter should be quite smooth and fairly thick.
