  • 100 ml water
  • 450 g caster sugar

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  2. Place the water and caster sugar in a small heavy-based saucepan over medium heat, then cook for 10–12 minutes or until a light– medium caramel forms. Place the pear in a baking dish, then pour the caramel over.
