Bone Broth

Soup was the staple of the home during the winter months. For some reason, my mom would leave soup making to my dad. I actually don’t remember ever seeing my mom making soup.

One of his ‘classics’ was bone soup. I think it’s a remnant of our British colonial past. I wasn’t a big fan of the bone soup as I’d always feel disappointed by the lack of meat in it! I’ve since remedied this by adding meat to the soup just before serving. Now I don’t mind it as much and it’s lovely for those
