This is a hearty winter-warmer porridge that does not call for sugar, because natural sweetness is provided by the bananas and the dates.
It can easily be made vegan by substituting whole milk with soya milk. To ensure that it does not become too sweet, count your dates carefully: three if your soya milk is unsweetened; two if it is already sweetened.
