This is a variation on traditional English bread-and-butter pudding, with lots of nutmeg and a hint of cardamom. You can use good-quality ready-made brioche loaf (or brioche rolls) here; there is no need to make your own. If you can’t find charoli seeds, use slivered almonds.
We like to serve our pudding with a scoop of ice cream – cinnamon is particularly nice, but simple vanilla is good too.
