The 11th of November is St. Martin’s Day. In Poznań, that means rogale świętomarcińskie, St. Martin’s croissants. St. Martin was a Roman soldier who, one winter night, encountering a beggar, cut his cloak in half and gave it to the poor man. When St. Martin went to sleep, he dreamed he saw Jesus wearing the cloak.
