You can no doubt tell by now that I love asparagus. This is a fast, healthful main course with lots of flavor. This recipe can also be done using a stove-top grill pan instead of a charcoal grill.
With a spice grinder, grind together the peppercorns, coriander seeds, fennel seeds, and salt to make a fine powder. Oil the steak lightly and coat lightly but evenly with the peppercorn mixture. Set aside for at least 30 minutes.
Lightly oil the asparagus and season to taste with salt and pepper. Set aside.
