This very rich dish comes from the wrong end of the nutrition pyramid, but it’s a worthwhile treat when fresh Dungeness or your local crab is available. You could also substitute any other fish or shellfish such as cooked shrimp, lobster, or scallops. To add a little green texture, I often throw in some crisply cooked sugar snap or snow peas. Tonnarelli refers to a flat, irregularly cut (but essentially square) pasta. You can use any pasta shape you like.
