China and Mexico meet in California in this delicious, unusual dish. The wontons and sauce can be made ahead of time and frozen, if desired. To freeze the wontons, put them uncovered in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with waxed paper and freeze until hard. The wontons can then be carefully placed in freezer bags. Thaw in the refrigerator before frying.
