Here are some wine country ideas for saucing or topping a simple grilled or pan-sautéed piece of beef or pork.

Ingredients

  • 1 large, firm ripe Hass avocado, peeled, pitted, and cut into small dice
  • ½ cup seeded and diced ripe yellow or red tomato

Method

In a medium bowl, gently combine the avocado, tomato, onion, chile, garlic, lime juice, cilantro, and sugar. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Store, covered, in the refrigerator if not serving immediately. Best used the day it is made.
