Meyer lemons are a special fruit in the wine country. Thought to be a cross between an orange and a lemon, they have a yellow-orange flesh that is very aromatic and not as tart as that of ordinary Eureka lemons. They prefer the colder climate of the wine country to those hot areas where lemons are ordinarily grown.
