  • 3 cups fresh blueberries
  • cup dry red wine
  • 1 tablespoon<

Method

In a saucepan, combine the blueberries, wine, thyme, vanilla bean, honey, and lemon zest and simmer for 4 to 5 minutes. Remove from the heat and allow to cool to room temperature. Remove the vanilla bean.

The sauce may be used as is or strained through a coarse strainer for a smoother consistency. Store, covered, in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. Serve warm or at room temperature.<
