This is a recipe Foe adapted from Carol Field that I’ve come to like a lot. She is an extraordinary baker, and I can’t recommend her books highly enough.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup whole-wheat flour

Preheat the oven to 325°F. Lightly oil a baking sheet or line it with parchment. Using an electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, or by hand with a wooden spoon, in a large bowl beat the whole-wheat flour, all-purpose flour, sugar, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, eggs, and wine
