Pour 2 dl (7 fl oz or U.S. cup) boiling water over 300 g (11 oz) loaf sugar. Add the zest of 1 orange and allow to infuse for 15 minutes. Remove the zest and add 1 bottle of heated Burgundy wine.

Serve in glasses with a thin slice of orange in each.
