Ingredients

  • 1 onion
  • 5-6 potatoes
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed

Method

Put the finely chopped onion and the potatoes, cut into cubes, into 1½ litres (2½ pt) slightly salted boiling water; cook until the potatoes are soft. Add the garlic, bay leaves and peppercorns and cook for 5 minutes more. Add the dill and parsley and cook for 2 minutes longer.
