  • 500 g (1 lb) flour

Method

Make a dough of the flour, eggs, milk, baking powder and half the butter. Knead and roll out to a thickness of 1-2 mm (1/10 in), spread with some of the remaining butter, lightly sprinkle with flour and fold up like an envelope (or roll up if preferred). Repeat the procedure six times, the last time rolling out carefully on a baking sheet to a thickness of 3-4 mm (⅕ in).
