  • 300 g (10 oz) dried black bread

Method

Soak the dried bread in water for several hours, then put it in 1½ litres (2½ pt) boiling water and cook until it dissolves completely and all the liquid is absorbed. Add the honey, kvass and butter, mix and serve with whipped cream.
