When I first moved to Los Angeles eons ago, I brought my mom to Koreatown. She tried Korean barbecue for the first time and fell in love! In our catering business, we wanted to add some Korean flavors to this classic Chinese beef preparation, so we threw in some sugar and ground red pepper. This gives these incredibly flavorful and tender skewers a sweet and spicy finish. They’re also great for a cocktail party, because you can marinate them the night before and just throw them on the grill
