Ghraybeh means ‘swoon’ in Arabic. Aptly, these little sugar cookies are often served at celebrations such as baptisms or weddings, when the air is thick with ‘swooning’. They’re a popular choice for large events for practical reasons also: the recipe scales up well, if there are many mouths to feed, and they are quick and easy to prepare.
