You can use one single type of berries — raspberries, blackberries, blackcurrants, redcurrants — depending on what you like and what’s in season. If you use frozen berries, leave them out for a while to thaw before you start. I like this with a mascarpone cream, but you could also serve it with crème fraiche, vanilla ice cream or ordinary whipped cream.
