Skin the tomatoes and chop. Cut the peppers in half, remove core and seeds and chop finely. Peel and chop the onions and crush the garlic. Peel, core and finely chop the apples. Put all prepared ingredients into a pan with the vinegar, cover and simmer for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally or until all ingredients are tender. Add remaining ingredients, bring to the boil and boil for about 5 minutes, stirring frequently until fairly thick. Pour into hot sterilized jars and seal.
