Elderberry Syrup


  • 1 lb. elderberries
  • 1 lb. sugar
  • ΒΌ pint water


Wash elderberries and put them into a double saucepan with sugar and water. Cook slowly without the lid, stirring occasionally, for 2 hours, or until liquid becomes syrupy. Cool a little, then strain into bottles, cork, sterilize as usual and seal.
