Marzipan Potatoes


  • 8 oz. ground almonds
  • 4 oz. caster sugar
  • 4 oz. icing sugar
  • few drops almond essence
  • 2 egg yolks
  • cocoa powder


Mix all the ingredients except cocoa together, and form into small balls. Prick with a knitting needle to simulate the eyes of potatoes, then roll in cocoa powder. Allow to dry on a clean baking sheet.
