Every country has its ways of preparing an animal before eating it, such as Nobu beef in Japan, which is rubbed with beer. Battery chickens are common in South Africa, but many think that raising ducks for foie gras is cruel. Having grown up with this tradition, I would choose to be a force-fed duck on a farm in France rather than any other kind of duck, especially one in a cage in a battery.
