  • 12 dried hot red pepper pods
  • Salt to taste
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil

Method

  1. Place the pepper pods in a saucepan and add water to cover. Bring to a boil and set aside. Let stand until the water is cold.
  2. Drain the pepper pods and split them in half. Remove and discard the seeds. Place the pods, skin side down, on a flat surface and scrape off and accumulate the pulp in a small mixing bowl.
